ABB's exclusive Guard II™ Noise Isolation Transformers provide common mode noise attenuation between neutral and ground and transverse mode noise attenuation between phases by incorporating a copper electrostatic shield, surge suppression and electrical noise filter capacitors. The Guard II includes the added benefit of surge suppression for transient voltage protection for the transformer primary. The bank of electrical noise suppression capacitors for the transformer secondary help protect any sensitive loads by shunting electrical noise to ground. This electrostatic shield is a copper shield between the primary and secondary coil windings decreasing the capactive noise coupling that can upset the electrical system. The Guard II™ transformers are UL Listed and UL Energy Verified. Qualified to the seismic requirements of IEEE-693-2005 and IBC-2021 and CBC 2022.
