Power+ trip units provide a complete range of standard and optional overcurrent and ground fault protective functions. Power+ trip units use GE's proven technique of measuring true rms currents of both sinusoidal and harmonically distorted waveforms. True rms sensing avoids potential underprotection or overprotection problems associated with peak-sensing tripping systems. The Power+ Trip unit system can be used with optional trip target modules which indicate event types and monitor the health of the trip unit. This trip unit is for use only with new circuit breakers. For replacement trip units, add an "R" to the end of the catalog number.
